Tara Ollapally Thomas

Tara Ollapally Thomas is an Associate with the firm. An immigrant herself, she desires to make the immigration process as pleasant as possible for others. Her current practice concentrates on employment-based immigration, including immigrant and non-immigrant visas for health care professionals and university faculty.

Prior to joining Goldblum & Hess, Tara practiced international human rights law in Washington D.C. She first worked at Physicians for Human Rights on health and human rights issues, focusing on health and human rights consequences of the Iraq War. She later joined Global Rights: Partners for Justice (formerly known as International Human Rights Law Group), where she helped plan, design and launch the implementation of the “Access to Justice for Women” project in India.

Tara received her LL.M. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Human Rights Fellow. She received her B.A. and LL.B. degrees from Bangalore University in India. She is currently a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. Tara is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and the State of Karnataka, India.
